LuxuryRetreatsPhuket.com is a trading style of Luxury Asia Lifestyles Co Ltd, founded in 2009 — originally trading as LuxuryVillaSamui — when two local expatriates, Adam Keating and Lee O'Neill, decided that the villa management industry on Koh Samui needed to change gear.
Built on the premise that luxury means a five-star commitment from the moment an enquiry is received to the day the guests leave for home, they set about building a portfolio of villas and a team to deliver that vision — first on Samui, and more recently on Phuket.
On Phuket and Natai Beach, Luxury Retreats Phuket offers marketing and reservation services, and we have formed a strategic partnership with KNP Management Services, led by industry veteran Nic Laanemets. KNP have a wealth of experience in luxury villa operations, including maintenance, staff recruitment and training.
This partnership means we can offer our villa owners on Phuket and Natai Beach full villa management services under one umbrella. It brings together two companies who are experts in their specialised fields, enabling us to maximise the ROI for our owners while protecting their asset.
Reservations, marketing and operations are all centralised here in Thailand, and our reservations staff have personally inspected every one of our villas — so they can pass on real local knowledge to our future guests.
Upon booking, each guest is appointed a Guest Experience Team that meticulously curates every detail of their stay. From seamless airport transfers, villa pre-stocking and bespoke dining arrangements to car rentals and tailor-made excursions, we handle it all.
Our Team
Adam Keating – Reservations Director
Adam first visited Koh Samui and Phuket as a wide-eyed backpacker travelling around South East Asia in 1989, and continued to return for holidays over the years until finally settling in Thailand in 2005. Adam previously worked in the finance world for ICAP Plc, serving clients like Credit Suisse and JP Morgan, until his passion for travel persuaded him to seek an alternative venture. Now responsible for reservations and marketing, Adam takes great pride in ensuring everything runs efficiently and that guests leave with only happy memories. His interests include rugby, travelling and socialising.
Lee O'Neill – Finance Director
Lee comes to us from a contracts and finance background, having previously worked as a regional manager for some of the biggest names in house building and asset leasing. Lee is responsible for all financial and legal affairs and for ensuring the company remains in good health for future growth. On the sporting side, Lee previously played rugby for teams in South Africa, Australia and the UK.
Nic Laanemets – KNP Management Services
Nic, a Swedish native who also speaks Thai, settled on Koh Samui in 1998, started working for a villa management company in 2004, and went on to establish KNP Management Services in 2007. The Samui business was acquired by Luxury Asia Lifestyles when Nic decided to set up KNP on Phuket in 2015. Nic is a keen cyclist with a wider interest in general fitness and wellbeing.
